Freshman Overnight RetreatWill you be attending Mizzou, Columbia College, or Stephens College this fall? Do you want to meet other Catholic students, learn about the Newman Center, and have a great weekend? Come on the Freshman Overnight on September 10-11. We'll meet at 6:30pm on Friday and finish after lunch on Saturday (in enough time for you to go to the game!). To register, click here. For questions, email Carla and cvjb93@mail.mizzou.edu.
Awakenings Retreat - Oct 1-3
Awakenings is a retreat held for students and run by students. It's for students of all ages, levels of faith, majors, personalities, and backgrounds. You'll hear talks from other students, spend time in small groups, have personal reflection time, and of course a lot of fun! We will meet at Newman at 5 p.m. on Friday and return on Sunday by 4 p.m. The cost of the retreat is $45, which includes all meals, transportation, and lodging for the weekend (financial aid available, if needed). Please bring your payment to the Newman Center on or before (preferably before) October 1. Registration deadline is September 17th at 4pm. To register, click here. First Friday Adoration - Sept 3, 12:30-3:30 pm, Chapel

Brighten up the day of the men in the Jefferson City Correctional Center in Jefferson City. On Saturday, October 30th from 8-10 am, students have the opportunity to be in a choir and provide music for Mass for the men at this facility. If you do not want to sing or play an instrument, you can attend Mass and visit with the men. The group will leave Newman at 6:45 am. If you are interested, contact Angelle at angelle.hall@newmancentercolumbia.org by September 15th. You will need to provide your full name, birthdate, and social security number for a background check.
Theology on Tap - "Going Green For Jesus" - Tues, Sept 7
Even on a college budget, you can go green for Christ! Independent writer and Newman Center Parishioner, Molly Wright, will speak about our call as Christians and what it means to be stewards of the world given to us by God. Meet in the side room at the Heidelberg (to the right when you walk in the front door). Come at 6:30 to order food and socialize! Presentation will be from 7-8. E3 - Wednesdays, 9 pm, Student Lounge
Ephesians 3 (E3) is a place where students can encounter Christ weekly through prayer, music, small group discussion, and faith sharing. E3 is a great way to take a break from classes and spend some personal and communal time growing in faith and spirituality! For more info, contact Stephen at Stephen@newmancentercolumbia.org.
Catholic Life Communities (CLCs)
Are you looking for a way to rejuvenate your faith this semester? Join a CLC! Weekly meetings allow students to grow deeper in their faith and in community with one another. All groups meet in the Day Room (second floor of Newman). All are welcome!
Upperclassmen Groups Mondays at 5 pm or Thursdays at 8pm
Freshman Groups Mondays at 8pm or Thursdays at 5:00 pm
Greek Group Tuesdays at 6pm (will be rescheduled to a better time)
